Men's Hockey Knocks Off Top-Ranked Plattsburgh 5-2
Eric Selleck (So., Spencerville, Ont.) and Jon Whitelaw (Fr., Huntsville, Ont.) recorded two goals apiece to help the eighth-ranked Oswego State men’s hockey team knocked off top-ranked Plattsburgh 5-2 on Saturday night in Plattsburgh. The Lakers were out-shot 34-14, but goaltender Kyle Gunn-Taylor (Sr., West Seneca, N.Y.) turned in a stellar performance as he registered 32 saves. Oswego State improved to 5-1-0 overall and 4-0-0 in the SUNYAC, while Plattsburgh fell to 3-1-0 overall and 3-1-0 in the league.

Wrestling In Eighth Place After First Day of Ithaca Invitational
After the first day of the Ithaca Invitational, the Oswego State wrestling team sits tied for eighth place with 28 points. Blake Fisher (So., Seaford, N.Y.) won three matches in the 149-pound weight class to advance to the semifinals where he will face Blaine Woszczak of Ithaca. Fisher defeated Nick Herrick of RWU 9-4, Troy Sterling of Cortland 3-2, and Mike Pagano of Cortland 7-1 to reach the semifinals.

Women's Hockey Opens Conference Play With 2-1 Win At Potsdam Two first period goals helped the Oswego State women's hockey team open ECAC West play with a 2-1 win at Potsdam on Saturday afternoon. Emily Grippin and Jenna Kirkwood scored the Laker goals as Oswego State improved to 2-0-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the conference. The Bears fell to 1-1-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the league.

Offense Keeps Rolling In Men's Hockey's 8-1 Win Over Potsdam
The offense continues to put up numbers as the Oswego State men's hockey team defeated Potsdam 8-1 on Friday night on the road. Justin Fox (Jr., Whitby, Ont.) and Eric Selleck (So., Spencerville, Ont.) each registered four points as Fox recorded two goals and two assists, while Selleck posted one goal and three assists. Fox and Selleck's linemate Chris Laganiere (Jr., Owego, N.Y.) also contributed two assists. The Lakers improved to 4-1-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the SUNYAC, whereas Potsdam dropped to 1-2-0 overall.

Senior Felipe Cavalcanti (Valatie, N.Y.) was selected to the second team, while senior Chris Carra (Endwell, N.Y.) and sophomore Bryan Pacchiana (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) were named to the third team.

The men's hockey game between Oswego State and Plattsburgh on Saturday at Plattsburgh will be televised via live videostream on the Internet through a partnership with student-operated Plattsburgh State Television and PrimeLink. The game starts at 7 p.m. in the Stafford Ice Arena.
